Dear Charlotte,
I have used JJ’s cross dressing service before and I would like some advice please. I am a men’s shoe size 8 and want to purchase some women’s high heels. I would like to purchase cross dressing shoes on line. What size would fit me best?
Many thanks,
Gabrielle xx

A girl so has much choice today with all the cross dressing shoes, but so little time to wear them all.
Dear Gabrielle,
There are no easy answers to questions about cross dressing shoe sizes; just some very general guidelines.
First, women’s shoes tend to be narrower, so think half a size up for that for your cross dressing shoes. Then when wearing heels say 3 inches or more in height you may need another half size. Finally, the shape of the toe will have an effect as well. But that (with very high heels) is a problem with which all girls need to deal.
The most likely cross dressing shoes size for you will be a UK 9. But keep in mind in mind that different manufacturers as well as different styles may vary in size considerably.
When ordering online my friend Kitty always asks for a couple of different sizes and keeps the pair that fits best. But having to return a pair does add to the expense of her cross dressing shoes. But as you find the styles and makes you like, getting a new pair becomes a little easier and cheaper.

Most cross dressing girls have problems finding cross dressing shoes to fit. Always go for a larger size
If you live near or can get to London, then Chiltern Street W1 is a haven for some gorgeous cross dressing shoes and boots. The girls in the shops there will have no problem at all in helping you find the right size in any style. But beware the cheap, poorly made shoes from some specialist cross dressing shoe websites. I am afraid that quality does not always come cheap.
Let us know how you get on with your quest for those special cross dressing shoes.
Love and kisses,
Charlotte x
I am a great fan of Crispins Shoe shop in Chiltern Street London. Especially when sales are on and there are some wonderful bargains. The girls in the shop are fantastic.

Shoe buying is so difficult when you need a size above an 8 as most stores sell very limited stock in a 9 upwards.
I have found I can fit into an 8 in some cases but that extra half size is usually required especially with the pointed shoes. Boots tend to be a bit easier to find and fit in a size 8.
By the way yes I do try them on in shops, quietly in a corner lol well it's the only way to know for sure xx
Long Tall Sally also stocks a great range for larger feet, up to 11 for most shoes and boots and sometimes more. And LTS is not quite so expensive as the mainly Italian shoes stocked by Crispins on Chiltern Street in London. There is absolutely no problem in trying join shoes (or dresses etc.) in the LTS shop in London (also on Chiltern Street). The girls in the store are really helpful. Happy crossdressing!
hi in mens shoes im a size 11-12 what size do I look for when looking for women shoes as cant find any to fit me
Hi Jason.
If you take men’s sizes 11 to 12 then a lot depends on the heel height you want: a rule if thumb. Add half a size for every two to three inches. Also many large ladies shoes are also designed for narrower feet. And that means anothe half size. So if you are really size 11.5 then you may need up to size 13 ladies. Not at all easy to find. But Long Tall Sally does have a few nice shoes up to size 13. There is a lovely high heeled court shoe (Paloma) in size 13 on their website right now as well as some lovely flats and lower heeded in 12. No half sizes though. With LTS you can try in the store on click and collect but they also are great on returns.
Happy shopping.
Kitty x
